As a team member of Philosophy Communication, I'm proud to say that we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. To mark the milestone, I wanted to share our "Big Idea" celebration: taking the whole team to Athens, Greece. This thought leadership needs to be shared!
Philosophy Communication Marks 25 Years of “Shaping Thought” with Anniversary Expedition to Greece
Employee Experiential Trip Celebrates Great Work and Great Lives
Philosophy Communication, a marketing and public relations agency, is proud to announce its 25th anniversary. To honor a quarter-century of serving clients and the dedicated team that made it possible, the agency will celebrate this milestone with a transformative "lifelong learning" trip to Athens, Greece, from April 10–15, 2026.
Founded on the principle of "shaping thought," Philosophy Communication chose Greece to align the celebration with the agency’s core foundation and namesake. The trip is designed to honor the relentless search for knowledge, truth, and human understanding that defines the firm’s strategic and philosophical approach.
For the agency’s leadership, this milestone is less about corporate achievements and more about the deep gratitude for the people, current staff, clients, and "Philosophy alums” who have contributed to the firm’s DNA.
"Reaching 25 years is an achievement that warrants a 'Big Idea' to match our gratitude," said Jen Lester, co-founder and partner of Philosophy Communication. "We’re fully aware how lucky we are with our team. They are leading the industry – straight up AMAZING, and the reason for our success. We chose an experiential reward because we believe the top deserves the top in return.”
To put that gratitude into action, the agency’s partners, including Randall Erkelens and Tera Keatts, spent the last year making operational adjustments and sacrifices to fund a "Big Idea" for their team.
"We wanted to do something that truly thanks our team for their dedicated focus on our clients," the Partners added. "This trip is about celebrating the good, the challenges, and the 'stretch moments' that have pushed us to go above and beyond to serve our clients. We are confident that we will return with overflowing creative juices and a renewed vision for the next 25 years."
The “Philosophy in Athens Learning” itinerary includes:
-
The Origins of Thought: Studying the great philosophers at the birthplace of Western thought.
-
Global Connection: Meeting local entrepreneurs to discuss the future of marketing.
-
Creative Immersion: Touring Athenian ad agencies to spark "Big Ideas" that the team will bring back to their Denver-based clients.
-
Collaborative Celebration: Commemorating the bonds that have guided the firm through growth and recessions alike.
While employees and their guests travel to Athens, the agency has implemented a comprehensive coverage plan to ensure all client needs and deadlines remain on track during the trip.
"We believe that getting out of our daily surroundings leads to Big Ideas for our clients," Jen Lester added. "Our clients can expect a revitalized, inspired team with new, innovative industry approaches upon our return."
The trip further reinforces the company’s overall mission to create lasting, meaningful relationships and shared connections that inspire long-term engagement that benefits the team and clients.
