PRSA Technology Section Announces Call for Nominations for Technology PR Professional of the Year Award: Deadline July 21, 2017

Recognition for One Outstanding Member for Service, Accomplishments 

 

The Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Technology Section has begun accepting entries or nominations for the one member who will ultimately be acknowledged as the 2017 Technology PR Professional of the Year.

This award recognizes one outstanding PRSA member who has demonstrated notable or outstanding service and/or contributions to (1) the practice of technology public relations communications, (2) their employer or organization, or (3) the PRSA Technology Section. Please read below for the rules and submission process.  The deadline for this year’s submissions has been extended to August 18, 2017.

 The winner, decided by a panel of judges who will review and score the nominating entries, will receive an engraved award and certificate, presented at the PRSA 2017 International Conference.  The winner will also be profiled in the Technology Section Newsletter.

 Award Rules

  • The PR Professional of the Year award is open to current members of PRSA who have been a member for one (1) or more years, and is not serving as an elected member of the Technology Section leadership at the time the nomination is submitted.
  • Entries may be submitted by anyone on behalf of any qualified member of PRSA.
  • Persons completing the entry form must indicate the nominee’s service and/or contributions in the five (5) areas of service and/or achievement, including (1) for the general practice of technology public relations or communications, (2) for their employer or organization, (3) PRSA volunteer service, if applicable, (4) accomplishments within the current year or the one immediately past, and (5) the factors that significantly set the applicant apart from other applicants.

Submission Process

  •  Entrants must submit one entry form for each award nominee.
  • All entries must include the names and contact information for the nominee (and the person submitting on their behalf, if applicable). Entries must include all information and be compliant with the rules.
  • Entries may be submitted either by email or postal mail and must be received by August 18, 2017.
