If employee communications is any part of your job, book your flight for Denver this June.

PRSA's Employee Communications Section has just announced the speaker lineup for the annual Connect '17 Conference, and let's just say, you don't want to miss it.

I should probably start with the fact that last year's conference in Dallas sold out. We turned people away at the door. We've made more room this year, but still. Don't take the chance.

I’m especially excited about this year’s conference because we’re doing something that we've never done before by hosting two pre-conference workshops. In looking back at prior Connect events, we selected two of our most popular speakers - Steve Crescenzo and Rocky Walls - who will each lead a 1.5-hour workshop. Steve's will be on writing for today's audiences, and Rocky's will take a hands-on approach to smartphone video tips, trick and tactics. For $80, you can attend both workshops. The first one starts at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14. (Make sure your flight arrives early!)

In our keynote / general sessions, Ketchum will share their experience using Workplace by Facebook as one of the pilot organizations for the program. We also have speakers and case studies from McDonalds and AT&T. These are big names that face the same challenges as the rest of us - connecting and empowering employees.

While the breakout sessions are too numerous to list, the topics represent a broad array of your challenges as a practitioner - intranets and other digital communications; engaging employees, whether it be with strategy or a town hall; and helping our leaders be successful communicators.

Finally, Chuck Gose, creator and host of the popular podcast ICology, will close out the conference with a live production and summary of the high notes and trends from the week.

In addition to this value-packed program, you’ll have plenty of time to network. We facilitate networking with receptions and organized dinners so you'll leave with a host of what for me have been “secret weapons” to call on when needing collaboration, validation or simply an understanding ear.

Yes, as the Chair of this year's conference, I may be biased. BUT, I'm Chair because I believe this is the best value of education and development available to internal communicators. I first attended Connect '15 and was blown away. I was texting and tweeting questions, quotes and tips to my team before the sessions were even over.

I'm absolutely confident you'll have the same experience.

Where are you looking to elevate your impact? Is it with your team? Your leaders? Your employees?

Meet me in Denver, and let’s get started together.
