Call for Chapters for a new book on PR in Practice

Hello all, I hope you are having a good day.  My name is Kate Kurtin and I am a professor of communication at California State University, Los Angeles.  I am currently working with Oxford University Press on a new book called "PR in Practice."  The idea behind the book is that it will be a series of guest lectures in PR from a diversity of fields, experiences, ages, races, and sexes.  In Los Angeles, we have the amazing ability to bring in practitioners for guest lectures in our classrooms and to do agency tour field trips, but these classes are being taught all around the country, often in places without that luxury.
I am currently recruiting chapter authors for a few remaining chapters.
- Entertainment PR
- Branding
- Corporate
- Digital
- Investor Relations
- Event Planning

If you have experience in these areas, would you be interested?  Each chapter is divided into two parts – personal and professional.  The personal is about the author and how they got to where they are.  The professional is reviewing a case study and walking the reader through the solution.  Each chapter is a max of 5,000 words and can include images.

If you are interested, please e-mail me at kkurtin@calstatela.edu with your name, area of expertise, and current title by January 1 and I will get back to you with the specific author prompt and deadlines.

Thank you!
Kate
