    Carrie Strehlau
    is a public relations, social media and media relations expert with more than 22 years of experience in the field. As senior social media specialist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—located in Memphis, Tennessee—she’s responsible for increasing the recognition and understanding of St. Jude science, medicine and translational research through social media. She started at St. Jude 17 years ago on the media relations team following five years in public relations at the Memphis Zoo. After about 13 years on the St. Jude media team, she transitioned to the very first social media position created at the hospital. Now she manages 12 social media accounts for St. Jude, which have more than 130,000 followers. The newest account? Instagram for the new hospital therapy dogs, Puggle and Huckleberry.
